In the shade of its stone monuments, there is a lush, luminous place in the city of Bitche.
No more war! The old esplanade, formerly dedicated to military culture, has become lush and green with the Garden for Peace. Extending across nearly four hundred meters, this garden consists of a succession of alternating open and enclosed spaces, harmoniously designed around a panoramic pathway. This unique layout lends itself beautifully to countless varieties of landscape, offering visitors lots to discover.
The Garden for Peace gives visitors an experience of the fleeting beauty of nature, fostering creativity and communication. The Garden for Peace is named in honour of one of its main goals: reconciling the past with the present and promoting peace through togetherness and biodiversity, on a site that used to represent war and conflict.
Finally, the Garden for Peace has evolved, being shaped by the present. The many activities and events held in the garden have created an extraordinary sense of renewal in the city of Bitche. Exchanges of ideas and best practices between artists, craftsmen and other professionals have inspired our gardeners to enthusiastically develop thriving collaborations and create their own designs, full of stories and meaning.
