Introduction
Goal of the association
The aim of the association is the promotion, tourism development and cultural showcasing of Alsace’s public and private parks and gardens of character, and the environmentally friendly protection and improvement of Alsace’s landscapes.
Whether they be romantic, classical or contemporary, poetic, country-style, playful or intimate, our gardens offer plenty of diversity to visitors.

2008
Naissance de l’association “Le Club des Parcs & Jardins de Caractère d’Alsace“ sous l’impulsion d’Alain SOULIER (Jardins de la Ferme bleue à Uttenhoffen). 34 jardins, dont 11 Jardins Remarquables se groupent, soutenus par l’ADT (Agence Départementale du Tourisme) et la Région Alsace.
Edition d’un dépliant/plan et distribué dans toute l’Alsace dans les jardins adhérents, les offices de tourisme, les hôtels, restaurants, musées et sites touristiques…
Adhésion au CPJF (Comité des Parcs et Jardins de France).
2012
L’association prend le nom de “Parcs et Jardins d’Alsace“.
Création d’une brochure et d’un site internet où ont leur place tous les jardins adhérents, grands ou petits, les parcs municipaux, les Villes et Villages Fleuris 4 fleurs, les jardins interreligieux… L’Association ne cesse d’accueillir de nouveaux adhérents.
2016
Élargissement du territoire de l’association avec l’accueil d’un jardin du Palatinat allemand et des jardins de Moselle et des Vosges de l’association “La Lorraine des Jardins“.
Soutien financier de la Région Grand-Est depuis la création de cette structure et par une dizaine de sponsors privés.
2021
Restructuration totale de la brochure et du site internet (maintenant trilingue) sous la présidence de Christian FONTAINE (Jardin d’un Brocanteur à Barr).
The association expands with the addition of 10 “Associated Gardens”, mainly open by appointment.
2022
First participation in the Plant Festival of Schoppenwihr with a stand open to the public, presenting the association Numerous contacts and new garden memberships.
Creation of a sign to be put up at all member garden entrances.
2023
L’association compte 77 adhérents dont 17 Jardins Remarquables.
First participation in the Plant Market at Mulhouse’s zoological and botanical park with a stand open to the public, presenting the association.
An issue of the “l’Art des Jardins” magazine comes out, dedicated to the gardens of the Grand Est region: 19 gardens of the association are highlighted.
2024
Elimination of the 24-page brochure, replaced by a leaflet that is less costly and more environmentally friendly.
Creation of a new website, which is more efficient, interactive and entertaining.
Creation of a QR code card for direct access to the website.
Second participation in the Plant Festival of Schoppenwihr in May, with a stand dedicated to presenting the new website to the public and to looking for new members.
Creation of a membership card for all members, providing them with discounts at certain garden centres in Alsace.
