Designed in 1935 by the famous Parisian landscaper Achille Duchesne for the Mulhouse-based industrialist Alfred Wallach, this garden of 3 hectares features the key elements of the French formal garden: the tapis vert (green carpet), parterres de broderies (embroidery-like patterning), a salle de repos (chamber of greenery) with a fountain, and a rose garden.
