Parc du Schulmeister

Strasbourg

Rue du Rhin Tortu – 67100 STRASBOURG

Description

Redesigned in 2010, this park was part of the estate of the castle built in 1807 by Charles Louis Schulmeister, a spy of Napoleon the 1st.
A system of pathways shaded by big trees provides a pleasant vantage point for admiring the pond and the many birds. Playgrounds for children of all ages and plenty of benches make this lush natural space very enjoyable. This park is also exemplary for using new methods of managing green spaces, where wild grass prairies are juxtaposed with short-mown lawns.
